ABOUT

The work developed by PSG is characterized by methodological developments, substantive applications in genetics, environmental, management and industry, biomedical areas and education and promotion of Maths and Stats.

Particular methodological strengths include:

(1) Time series analysis and its applications;

(2) Regularization and maximum entropy;

(3) Genomics and multivariate analysis;

(4) Robustness.

In addition to the regular seminar program and the annual workshop focusing interdisciplinarity and applications of statistical methodologies on different scientific areas, collaborations with international research groups are also made. A further component of the research activities is the involvement in advanced training and various PhD programs.
